Ahead of its official debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show, Dacia releases the official details and specs of its 2014 Duster model for the European market. The 2014 Dacia Duster boasts not only a refreshed design, but also more equipments, and more greater value for money.

On the styling front, Dacia, continuing the rugged 4×4 theme, gives the new Duster a redesigned grille with chrome-plated strips and lower-set air intake, double-optic headlights with daytime running lights, Duster-badged roof bars, new taillights, more chrome work, and 16-inch ‘Anthracite’ Metal” alloy wheels and “Mud and Snow” tyres.

These changes play their part to make the Duster look more interesting, but they don’t have that big an effect overall.

Interior mods are also limited, but they more effective, as they are more functional. You get new upholstery choices induing leather, new-design seats and a reinforced rear bench seat back and dark-colored trims.

Standard equipment on all 2014 Dacia Duster models are Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Emergency Brake Assist (EBA), and anti-lock brakes. Selected models can also be specified with DaciaMedia Nav, a complete multimedia system including Bluetooth connectivity and sat nav, or Dacia Plug&Radio, the essential multimedia system with MP3, USB, and Bluetooth.

The Renault-source engine lineup includes the TCe 125, a four-cylinder 1.2 litre direct-injection turbo, the 105 1.6 liter 16V, and the 1.5 dCi powerplant with 90hp or 110hp. You have the choice of two- or four-wheel-drive.

Despite all the updates, the base price of the 2014 Dacia Duster remains unchanged at €10,490.
