German Special Customs (GSC) has gained fame as a singular Mercedes-Benz tuner with their fabulous wide body CLS models. After that they’ve tried their hands on a number of other models, but none enjoyed the success of the CLS. Their latest effort is this big tomato based on the Mercedes G63 AMG.
Visually, and apart from the juicy red paint job, the G63 gets a body kit that tries to boost the effect of the standard AMG kit but exaggerating and caricaturizing ever panel. So you get larger air intakes, taller spoilers and skirts, a larger sportier hood, big wheels, and more slightly bigger tailpipes.
The red color of the car is complemented with all the black and clear carbon parts, as well as a set of 23-inch gloss black wheels. The interior too is garnished with red and black leather and carbon fiber trimming.
Mercedes G63 AMG by German Special Customs also comes with a substantial engine tuning program that increases the power of the 5.5 liter bi-turbo V8 from the standard 500 something to a meaty 620 horsepower. While that is good for bragging rights, it won’t make that big a difference in the way the car goes. The G-Class, after all, has the aerodynamic properties of a small flat.
