SsangYong announced a major price cut for the Korando range in the UK, slashing up to £3,000 off the base price of selected models. They say the ‘Fall’ in Korando’s prices is inspired by autumn, and has nothing to do with terrible sales figures whatsoever.
SsangYong Korando price cut policy starts with £1,450 on the EX manual, £2,000 off an LE and up to £3,000 on the top of the range EX automatic. That means you can now get a Korando for as little as £15,995. A fully-loaded EX will set you back £15,995.
There aren’t that many under 20 grand SUVs out there that offer the features this Korean does. All models are powered by a 2.0 litre four cylinder turbo diesel engine producing 360Nm of torque and 175ps, and they all come as standard with Electronic stability programme (ESP) with Hill Start Assist, Active Rollover Protection (ARP) and ABS with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD).
Then there is the list of standard features, which is pretty decent for a car of this price, with items like rear parking sensors, electric windows front and rear, a leather covered steering wheel and gear shift, air conditioning, cruise control and a Kenwood MP3 CD & RDS radio with iPod & Bluetooth, remote audio controls and six speakers. The Korando also gets a 5 year limitless mileage warranty that protects all SsangYong cars.
