Lord Drayson is a British aristocrat who is fond of fast cars. He is also a visionary, and has an ambition to be the leading light in the future of motorsport, which he believes will be electric. His creation, Drayson B12/69 EV racer has already broke a couple of speed records, and is one its way to become a fully-fledged Le Mans contender.

In this video Chris Harris shares his experiences of driving the Drayson Electric Racing Car. Now, Chris is not easily impressed, but he seems genuinely baffled by this thing:

The fact that Lord Drayson chose the motorsport context to develop his electric car shows how clever he is. Here there are no legislations and annoying rules they have to meet. They can make the electric cars as powerful and as fast as they like. Experiences gained in this field can then trickle down to road cars and such.

Drayson team is also working on other EV technologies such as wireless charging.
