Acura was looking for something new and innovative – a hook, if you will – to make the delivery of the new Acura NSX to the buyers more special. And they seem to have found it in what they call the “NSX Originals” – films that document the building of each customized, built-to-order NSX.
So what Acura wants you to do upon taking delivery of your exciting new super car is not go out and drive it, but sit in front of the TV and watch footage of it being put together at the factory. It doesn’t exactly suggest confidence in the product, but there are those who would actually enjoy such a thing; guys like Jay Leno, which is why Acura is kicking off the “NSX Originals” campaign with a film about the production of Leno’s Acura NSX #0003:
“Each owner film is customized to match the exact specs and options tied to their specific NSX, and features that vehicle’s unique serial number.”
