Silicon Valley in San Jose is the birth place of all the important IT technologies. It is also home to Tesla Motors, whose Model S electric car has caused quite a stir not just in the world of cars, but among the tech elite as well. Even the Police has become in what this laptop on wheels has to offer.

George Rodericks, an Atherton city official has publicly expressed his desire for San Jose Police Department to acquire Tesla Model S Police Cars. The Model S is currently holding a 5 percent share of Atherton’s new car market, so it makes a lot of sense.

What’s more, the Model S makes a pretty good police cruiser. For starters, the car is pretty roomy. You can hold three sizable criminals in the back, no problem at all. It also has two trunks and lots of cubbyholes inside the cabin. This car is a police officer’s dream when it comes to storage. Torches, maps, laptops, first aid kits, radios, and sub machine guns can all be perfectly concealed in this car. But the biggest advantage of the Model S as a Police cruiser is its performance. It can go from 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds.

Just about the only drawbacks are the charging time, and the cost. But the latter shouldn’t be a problem for Atherton residents, since 99 percent of them are “online” millionaires.
