BMW i8 is one of the most highly anticipated cars to be launched this year. It will go on sale in America in spring 2014 with a base price of around $135,000. But already, exotic car tuner Vorsteiner has come with some ideas to improve the looks of the car. And they’ve implemented them, virtually, on an i8 Spyder to show us they ready for everything.

The BMW i8 Spyder is a drop-top version of the hybrid sports car currently in concept form. It will eventually be produced, but it’ll probably take another three or four years. That makes this car you see in this picture a complete flight of fancy. But you could use these ideas to make your hardtop i8, if you are getting one, look cooler.

To be honest the car does need a bit of visual modification, because if the latest set of pictures BMW released of the production version are anything to go by, it looks kind of geeky with all the blue bits sticking out of its futuristic body. That said, we’re sure there will be plenty of options to have them in other colors or in the same finish as the rest of the body.

What Vorsteiner is proposing here is a classier finish for the BMW i8 Spyder with gold accenting instead of blue, and a set of their finest wheels, also garnished with gold on the outer lip. These seemingly simple changes have a profound effect on the way BMW i8 looks. Good one.
