German tuner B&B Autotechnik released a new performance upgrade kit for the 2014 Volksgaen Golf R, the seventh generation. The R is a pretty impressive hot hatchback, boasting a 2.0 liter 300 horsepower engine in its standard factory form. What B&B does is make the car ultra-hot by giving it a lot more power.

So while this Golf R by B&B looks pretty much standard and rather understated on the surface, it has an uncontained fury brewing up under the bonnet. B&B offers three stage of tune for the TSI engine in the Golf R, beginning with a boost to 360 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque.

That is an enormous amount of power in a small car like this, but you can’t have enough power. So there is a stage two with 385 horsepower and 480 Nm. And if that’s not enough, how about stage three with 420 horsepower and 530 Nm of torque?

You might be able to handle that crazy power, but you may not be able to get your head round how much it costs. The 420-hp package costs a whopping 9,850 Euros. The more modest 385-hp kit will set you back 3,950 Euros, and the base 360-hp program just 1,298 Euros.
