The fans of small, cheap and economical city cars are presented today with a new choice from Nissan. It the new Note DIG-S (Direct Injection Gasoline – Supercharged) version, powered by a blown 1.2 liter engine developing 98PS and 147 Nm of torque.
Come to think of it, nobody is a fan of such cars. People buy small, eco cars because they can’t afford anything big and fast, or because they want to save money on fuel bills. On that front, the new Nissan Note DIG-S is a jewel of a car, delivering satisfying performance with CO2 emission and fuel efficiency figures of 99g/km and 65.7mpg.
Apart from small size and light weight, the DIG-S Note also benefits from fuel saving measures including an electronic clutch which allows it to be disconnected from the engine when not required further reducing power losses through friction, and stop/start system. The car comes with the choice of either a five-speed manual transmission or an optional XTronic.
Priced from £14,495 in the British market, the Nissan Note DIG-S comes as standard with two-tone diamond cut 16-inch alloy wheels, rear privacy glass, carbon look rear bumper, neat rear roof spoiler, side sills and a more aggressive front bumper with a glossy black grille. The suspension is also revised for better ride and handling.
