MINI released pricing details of the new-look model ahead of its market launch in Britain later in the year. The goofy looking hatchback which now comes with three-cylinder engines will be built at the Oxford plant and can be ordered from 15 March, stating from £13,750.
That’s what you pay for a MINI One Hatch, which is powered by a 1.1 liter 3-cylinder engine with 102 hp and 180 Nm of torque. Other choices include the MINI One D, which gets a 1.4 liter diesel engine with 95 hp and 220 Nm, MINI Cooper with a 1.4 liter petrol unit developing 136 hp and 220 Nm, MINI Cooper D which is a diesel version of the former with 116 hp, and MINI Cooper S with a four-cylinder 2.0 liter engine and an output of 192 hp and 280 Nm of torque.
The standard transmission is a six speed manual, but you can opt for a six-speed automatic which is actually more efficient, as it comes with start/stop. Brake energy recuperation and need-oriented control of the fuel pump, coolant pump and other ancillary units feature on all models.
As for the equipment, the standard kit on all models includes items like electrically adjustable exterior mirrors, air-conditioning, door sill cover strips with a model-specific inscription, front fog lamps, onboard computer, MINI Radio including aux-in, USB interface and Bluetooth. You can, of course, get a lot more besides thanks to a whole host of available options.
