AC Schnitzer’s lineup at this year’s Geneva Motor Show is headed by two SUVs. One is a nicely tricked-out Range Rover Sport, and the other is this, a lightly modified BMW X5, the third-generation model. For the Bimmer AC offers a range of aerodynamic add-ons, wheels and suspension, interior mods, and power upgrade kits.
Mechanically, AC Schnitzer BMW X5 M50d diesel gets a boost from 380 PS to 430 PS, and the X5 50i V8 from 450 PS to 525 PS. This has been achieved through the use of a high-flow exhaust system and AC Schnitzer’s electronic module.
In terms of aerodynamics and appearance, the car gets new front and rear skirts with a lip spoiler up front and a diffuser out back. The visual impact is completed with a set of AC’s wheels in either 21 or 22-inch size, and in six different designs. We should also mention Schnitzer spring kit that lowers the ride height, thus affecting the car’s looks.
As for the interior, AC Schnitzer BMW X5 Facelift gets, for now, aluminum sport pedals, branded floor mats, and a key holder.
