Even though the Mercedes SLS Black Series comes out of the factory already tuned to perfection, there are those like Domanig who think there is still room for improvement. And they set about proving that with this handsome red and black beast you see here.

Domanig Mercedes SLS Black differs from the standard car in two major ways: suspension and power output. The standard Black SLS features a body made largely from carbon fiber, so it’s light, and it has spot on aerodynamics and luxury features. So the tuner decided to focus on things they could change for the better.

The magnificent 6.2 liter M156 AMG V8 is one of the elements of the car that’s been tuned, and Domanig claims they’ve extracted 800 horsepower out of it. That is nearly 200 more than the standard, and a quite a lot in what’s, in essence, a grand tourer.

The other major improvement is the addition of a KW suspension system, consisting of the variant III adjustable dampers which come with an iPhone app for remote control, and HLS hydraulic lift system. To complement the new suspension, and also to enhance the looks a bit, Domanig Mercedes SLS Black Series comes with a set of their DOM wheels on the car, measuring 20-inch up front and 21-inch out back.
