Nissan today released a teaser image and a short video of an all-new Murano crossover. The car will make its debut at the 2014 New York Auto Show next month, introducing a new Nissan design language for future production vehicles, according to the manufacturer.
If the previous versions of the car are any indication, the 2015 Nissan Murano should feature a quirky, unusual, but likeable design. The teaser materials don’t reveal much, apart from the silhouette of the car, which looks familiar, and a unique LED pattern I the headlights.
Nissan Murano has always been a very good product in its intended role as a big, comfy crossover vehicle with decent off-road capabilities and a sporty drive. Boasting a powerful V6 engine and a CVT transmission, the first and second generation Murano have been a success story in all the markets they entered.
Nissan then went ahead and sullied the Murano’s bloodline with the utterly horrifying CrossCabriolet, which to be honest looked more like a bad Halloween custom hastily tailored for the car as a joke. Nevertheless, they promise the new generation offers a spacious, premium interior and advanced, purposeful safety and connective technology.
