The loyal tuner of VW Group products announces its upgrade program for the Audi RS5 Cabriolet. The elegant four-seater roadster does not get much in the way of power boost, as the 4.2 liter TFSI V8 engine remains pretty much intact. But chassis and suspension are professionally upgraded.
ABT Audi RS5 Cabriolet can be fitted with a sport muffler system and a new electronics that deactivate the top speed limiter, so you can use the car’s standard 450 horsepower output to hit 290 km/h. But those are all the performance tweaks you get.
In terms of chassis and suspension, ABT fits the car with height adjustable suspension springs which deliver a good lowering from 15 to 40 mm, or you can opt for the complete suspension kit with wheel spacers that result in a greater ride and handling, and a nicer look.
Visually, ABT Audi RS5 Cabriolet comes with fender inserts and a set of 19 or 20 inch wheels. Available designs for the RS5 include ER-F, ER-C and DR, with tire sizes 255/35 R19 or 275/30 R20. ABT has not revealed the cost of these upgrades.
