This is the sedan concept Nissan had promised for this year’s 2014 Auto Show. Called the Lannia, this sedan previews a future China-only production model, aimed at the “balinghou” which is China’s post-80s generation. They never go to this much trouble to please the post-80s generation in Europe, but then they don’t sell just as many cars over there.
They have not revealed many details about the Nissan Lannia Concept, but looking at its pictures you notice it features the new styling cues shared by all Nissan vehicles. They include V-motion grille, boomerang headlamps, a distinctive kick-up pillar, as well as the “floating” roof.
The main principle in designing Nissan Lannia Concept was, apparently, something called “daqi”. It’s a Chinese word that Nissan says is hard to define, but “has the strength to push people to aspire towards better things.” So this car must have the power of a deity!
We will let you know if we heard more about the Lannia. It is a very handsome car, and Nissan is not one to let a fine design go to waste.
