Bulgarian tuner and interior specialist Vilner released pictures of their latest project. They have been tasked with the job of revamping the interior of a BMW 3-Series E46. Given the car’s age, they decided to steer clear of modern elements, and instead came up with a retro design using old-fashioned materials.
Instead of Alcantara and carbon fiber, Vilner BMW 3-Series features the kind of heavy leather you’d find in an old Rolls-Royce, wool fabrics, and real wood veneers. The fabric complementing the brown leather upholstery is party piece of this treatment, giving the cabin a refreshing retro look.
Brown leather is also used to style the door covers, levers, and steering wheel. All these parts are garnished with exquisite wool fabric inserts, and in places with wood accents. Meanwhile a strip of bright colored wood adorns the top of the doors and the bulk of the dashboard. The combination of colors and patterns here is very tasteful.
The finishing touches on Vilner BMW 3-Series include wool floor mats and suede headliner. Come to think of it, this interior package probably costs a lot more than the car!
