BMW specialist Manhart Racing realized the most people who buy a BMW M235i are going to track it. So they came up with a Clubsport upgrade package that makes the car fully track ready and gives it a healthy dose of extra power as well.
Manhart BMW M235i benefits from reprogrammed engine management software, tweaked turbo boost, bigger intercoolers, and a custom sport exhaust system with 200-cell cats. The result of all this is an output of 430 horsepower and nearly 600 Nm of torque – a huge increase over the standard 326 hp and 450 Nm.
After equipping the M235i with enough power, Manhart experts set about upgrading the chassis and did so using 3-way adjustable coilover suspension tuned for track work, a set of 19-inch lightweight wheels with high-performance rubber, and high-performance braking system with 6-piston calipers.
Aerodynamics improvement was next on the list, and it was taking care of using a carbon fiber package consisting of front and rear spoilers and a rear diffuser. Inside, Manhart BMW M235i Clubsport gets Recaro Pole Position seats with 4-point harness, sport steering, pedals, and levers, and extra gauges to monitor the engine’s condition.
