Nissan finally unveiled the concept car they have designed for the Gran Turismo 6 video game. The 2+2 “virtual” supercar is called the Nissan Vision Gran Turismo 2020, and kind of previews what a Nissan supercar may look like by then.
Some say, and Nissan has not confirmed this yet, that the Vision Gran Turismo previews the next generation GT-R. Nissan just says “the real-world is ready for the Vision Gran Turismo 2020,” and “watch this space.” So yes, they are probably cooking up something with this.
Since Nissan Vision Gran Turismo 2020 is a virtual concept, there isn’t much to talk about in terms of the technicalities. Designed by a team of young designers at Nissan Design Europe, in London, the Vision Gran Turismo was created using input from an advanced engineering team based in Japan.
Whether or not the Nissan Vision Gran Turismo is the GT-R’s ticket for becoming a full-on super car remains to be seen. For now, just be content that you can download this car, along with the GT-R and Skylines models, in GT6 from July.
