Wald International released new pictures of their Mercedes SLK R172 Black Bison, revealing the styling kit in full. This generation of the SLK has not received much love from tuners, and Wald’s kit kinda shows why. R172 is not an easy car to improve.

And we don’t mean that like it’s too handsome or too unique. We mean the design is so bad that no matter what you do with the bumpers and skirts, it’s still a highly unappealing shape. Still, this package is a nice try by the Japanese tuner and does at least make the SLK look a bit different.

Wald Mercedes SLK Black Bison kit consists of new front bumper with AMG-like air intakes and Wald signature LED lights, a pair of new side skirts, and a revised rear bumper featuring a bigger and more pronounced diffuser. A carbon fiber rear spoiler and new tailpipes are among the other goodies you can order for the car.

As usual, Wald does not offer performance or interior upgrades. A full Wald Mercedes SLK including the carbon spoiler costs about $5,300.
