Back in the day if you wanted to see a shiny gold-wrapped car, you had to buy a ticket to one of the oil-rich Arab states around the Persian Gulf. But these days the gold fever is sweeping through Miami with staggering force. A couple of weeks ago we showed you this gold Ferrari 458, now check out this equally shiny Mercedes CLS.

Just like that Ferrari, this gold Mercedes CLS63 AMG is created by MC Customs using a few rolls of metallic gold vinyl wrap and a set of 21-inch Vellano VM18 Monoblock custom cut and finished wheels. They added a blacked-out roof and grilles, and smoked the lights, and it was job done.

The owner of this CLS63 obviously wanted to make use of Miami’s bright sun to give his car some extra shines, and the only way to do that was to go for a color that shimmers like a mirage when the sunlight hit is. Of course we are not big fans of gold wraps and shiny paint jobs, but objectively, the car looks pretty good. And while you would look ridiculous driving this car in cities like London, Paris or New York, we reckon it is totally fine in Miami. It might even be cool!
