What you see here is, probably, an ingenious idea. Korean car maker SsangYong wanted to make a light commercial vehicle (LCV), but instead of making a van, they just stripped the Rexton SUV off its rear seats and trims. How cool is that!
With the SsangYong Rexton W CSX you get an ordinary looking SUV with plenty room inside to haul stuff around. You get pretty much the same loading capacity you get from a small van, but you won’t look like a van man, and you benefit from useful things like high ground clearance and four-wheel-drive. So you can go further than you can in a van.
Engine-wise, SsangYong Rexton W CSX is powered by a homegrown 2.0 litre turbocharged e-XDi200 diesel, developing 155 PS and 360 Nm, mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. This engine gives you a 3 tonne towing capability, perfect for hauling a work trailer, full-size caravan, double horsebox or boat trailer.
In terms of features and equipment, the standard kit includes cruise control, air conditioning, electrically operated & heated door mirrors, leather covered steering wheel and gear knob, and CD & RDS radio with iPod and Bluetooth connectivity. The best thing about the SsangYong Rexton W CSX is the price, which starts from £18,495.
