Nissan Sway Concept 600x409 at Geneva Preview: Nissan Sway Concept

Nissan is going to have another crack at the supermini segment, apparently with this, the Geneva-bound Nissan Sway Concept. They are sticking with the “innovative design” that spawned the Micra, which this car essentially replaces, but this time they have toned down the crazy.

Providing “a glimpse at how a future generation of small Nissan models could look,” Nissan Sway Concept is inspired by the Juke and the Qashqai, both of them best sellers in the crossover segment. With the Sway Nissan wants to use the same successful recipe to dominate the supermini segment; something the Micra never manage.

If look at the previous generations of the Nissan Micra, it is easy to see why they didn’t catch on. They were either way too outlandish and, well, crazy, or too dull and uninteresting. The Sway, using design cues from successful Nissan models, seems to be taking the middle road. It seems like a decent looking car in this not-so-revealing teaser they have released.

Nissan Sway Concept will make its official debut at the Geneva Motor Show March 3rd.
