It’s been a while since we last heard of British sports car maker Morgan. Things have been rather quiet up there in the Malvern Hills, but turns out they were laying low, working on an all-new product which they will unveil at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show.
The teaser video Morgan Motor Company has released does not give away much about the details of this new sports car, but it sure does sound intriguing. It also shows two sports seat covered with fine British leather embroidered with Morgan logo, suggesting it is a high-end product, most likely based on the AeroSport.
Traditionally, Morgan cars are built with a substantial amount of wood in them, mostly in the chassis. It is not a very efficient, or clever, way of making cars. But it’s tradition, and part of the charm and character of Morgans. We will find out on March 3rd if the last of the quintessentially British sports car makers is abolishing its traditions in favour of a more modern approach and more sales, or if they are sticking with the old ways.
