We are a huge fans of Mcchip-DKR here at MW for a couple of reason. First, these guys are all about the substance and almost never touch the exterior or interior of the car they work on. Secondly, they are magicians when it comes to engine electronics, capable of extracting ridiculous amounts of power through cheap tuning alone.

Lately, Mcchip has also developed an affinity for custom exhaust systems as a way of enhancing the effect of their electronic kits. They have applied this combination to a number of cars recently, this Audi TT RS being the latest, and one of the greatest.

This second-gen Audi TT RS was already a hot car when it arrived at Mcchip workshops, packing 340 horsepower and 450Nm of torque. When it left the shop though, it was practically on fire, boasting 473 PS (480 horsepower) and  610Nm of torque, hence the name mc480.

This rather serious gain in power is the result of Mcchip’s special software, a custom exhaust system with sport cats and downpipes, and revised turbochargers thrown in for good measure. This little pocket rocket is now more powerful than a contemporary Audi R8 V8.
