As much as we like modified cars and heavy tuning jobs, we have to admit sometimes a completely stock car in the right color can look orders of magnitude better anything the can be achieved through customization. This purple Audi R8 Spyder is a case in point. The only mod on this car is a set of HRE wheels.

Now, they could have gone mad and, given the purple/violet paint job on this R8, fit the car with some ridiculously brash-colored rims. But fortunately the guys at Wheels Boutique realized it is much better to play it cool and went for a dignified silver finish, which not only complements the paint job beautifully, it also goes really well with the design of the wheels.

This purple Audi R8 Spyder, which is hands down the most desirable version of the car we’ve seen to date, is a late model V10 version featuring LED head and tail lights and powered by a 550 horsepower engine that can take the four-wheel-drive sports car from zero to 100 km/h (62.14 mph) in 3.5 seconds. The R8 recently got a complete makeover, but if style is what you are after, you are far better off with the existing model.
