The 4.4 liter bi-turbo V8 motor AMG currently uses in their sports cars these days is an engine with great potential for upgrade. The latest example of this potential is brought to you by Performmaster Mercedes AMG GT, a tricked-out version of the new sports car packing 612 PS and a top speed of 330 km/h.
The main highlight of Performmaster Mercedes AMG GT is what the tuner calls the PEC tuning module. It fits both normal and S models and not only does it improve the power output, it also eliminates the standard top speed limiter that comes with the car and allows you to enjoy that power to the max.
The electronic module has a particularly good effect on the Performmaster Mercedes AMG GT S model as it boosts the horsepower from the standard 510 to 612 PS and the torque from 650 Nm to 780 Nm. As a result of that, the 0 to 100 km/h acceleration no takes 3.6 seconds instead of 3.8, and as mentioned the top speed if 330 km/h instead of 310.
Performmaster has other variants of this PEC tuning module for pretty much all AMG models. Currently they can go up to 700 horsepower and 1,000 Nm of torque.
