German/American tuning house RENNtech took their tricked-out Mercedes AMG GT to the Palm Beach International Raceway a few days ago to see if the ECU upgrade and modified exhaust they’ve installed on it work as good as they were anticipating. They did, and then some. RENNtech Mercedes AMG GT popped in a 10.94 seconds quarter-mile run.
The car also clocked 128 mph while crossing the line which is pretty fast, considering the modifications it was benefiting from. As mentioned, RENNtech Mercedes AMG GT features only an ECU remap and some sport exhaust. The result of these light upgrades, however, is profoundly impressive.
You might recognize this profoundly RENNtech Mercedes AMG GT from one of our previous posts about the first AMG GT to get a set of ADV1 Wheels. Turns out this particular AMG GT wants to be the first in more things than one. The car is sitting on a set of ADV5.2 Track Spec CS wheels.
As for the RENNtech upgrades available for the AMG GT, the ECU kit will set you back $3,495 but works wonder with the power output. Official figures are yet to be released, but you can expect close to 590 horsepower. The custom exhausts system featuring downpipes with 200 cell sport catalytic converter will rid you off $4,940 and gives in return 10 horsepower and 10 lb-ft of torque.
