Being a van driver must be one of the dreariest jobs in the world. You spend your whole day in the city traffic, taking up too much space on the road, hauling largely unimportant stuff around in a catastrophically boring vehicle. Do not despair though because help is at hand in form of VATH Mercedes V-Class.
There have been many attempts over the years to make vans more interesting by various tuners. Often though, they either overcook it and make the vehicle useless as a van, or the changes are too weak and inconsequential to make any difference. With VATH Mercedes V-Class, the tuner believes they have hit the nail right on the head.
Based on the 447-series V-Class, VATH’s offering for the big V is a low-cost visual and performance upgrade. On the styling front the car gets a pair of nicely designed running boards costing just 629 Euros, and a set of 20-inch wheels with 265/35R20 tires for 2,975 Euros. A 566 Euros sport spring kit is also added to reduce the ride height by a good 25mm.
Performance-wise, 1,011 Euros will see the 250 CDI engine in the VATH Mercedes V-Class boosted to 225 horsepower and 500 Nm of peak torque. That ought to make the mundane task of van driving a bit less soul-crushing!
