So in his first clip with a new cameraman/editor, filling in for Neil who is busy with another project, Chris Harris brings out the new Aston Martin Vantage GT12 for a proper road and track test. The road test part is absolutely marvelous, what with the nice and empty Welsh roads and the sunshine. The track part is in the rain which is a bit a bummer, but makes things interesting nonetheless.
As a side note, is it just us, or are those orange accents on Aston Martin Vantage GT12 really ridiculous? And that bonnet vent way too big?
Weighing a 100 kg less than the V12 Vantage S, Aston Martin Vantage GT12 is powered by a 600 Ps version of the aging V12 engine Aston uses in their high-end models. It also features wider tracks, 19” forged alloy satin black wheels with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires, uprated dampers and springs, and a massive carbon fiber aero kit. Inside, you will find a healthy dose of carbon fiber and Alcantara which give the cabin a rich racy flavor. Performance figures are yet to be revealed, but you can expect a 0 to 60 mph time of around 3.5 seconds.
