Another Australian Police department gets a nice and fast exotic car to help them do more community service and engage the youth. This time it’s the South Wales Police and the car they are getting is an Audi RS4 Avant with a special livery.

The livery for New South Wales Police Audi RS4 was picked by Audi Facebook fans based on the standard NSW Police car livery. With blue checkered flags on the sills and bumpers, which actually make the car look more like a street racer than a police cruiser.

As is usually the case, the exotic car will not be used to chase criminal. The 420 horsepower Audi RS4 will be used by Lake Illawarra Local Area Command of the New South Wales Police Force to support a variety of community and youth engagement programs. Put simply, the point of this car is to make the Police look cool and fun, so the youth would find it easier interacting with them.

“The Audi RS 4 provides an exciting and visible platform for our community and youth engagement activities,” said Superintendent Wayne Starling, Commander of Lake Illawarra LAC. “Our use of the RS 4 will encourage people of all ages to introduce themselves to local police, using the car itself to help start up a conversation.”
