AMG cars these days are so perfect in every way, especially power output, that tuning them makes less and less sense. With the new C63 AMG, though, it seems they have left enough room in it for a proper upgrade package. Meet the new Brabus Mercedes C63 AMG, set for debut at the 2015 IAA Frankfurt Motor Show.
The C63 is the underdog of AMG’s range, boasting the least horsepower among all the models with the exception of the outgoing SLK 55. Interestingly though, it is one of the most popular AMG models, and we think one of the best looking. All that makes this Brabus Mercedes C63 AMG a fantastic proposition. It is a proper super saloon with mean looks and a 600 horsepower engine.
The engine is the same 4.0 liter bi-turbo unit in the S-Model standard car onto which Brabus has fitted a bespoke exhaust system and engine management software, among other changes. This has increased the output to 600 horsepower and the torque to 800 Nm (590 lb-ft). That enables Brabus Mercedes C63 AMG to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and on to a limited top speed of 300 km/h.
Apart from the performance upgrade, Brabus C63 600 also comes with a subtle and dignified aero kit, Monoblock wheels, uprated suspension and brakes, and a custom interior treatment.
