So far most of the tuned AMG GTs we have come across were 600 horsepower sports car. The latest offering, however, is a 700 horsepower super car. Posaidon Mercedes AMG GT is a proper speed machine.

The 4.0 liter AMG bi-turbo V8 engine in the AMG GT is a motor with great potential for upgrade. In standard “S” from it develops 510 horsepower and 650 Nm of torque, which with a simple upgrade like ECU remap can be upped to 600 horsepower.

In the case of Posaidon Mercedes AMG GT, though, to get 700 horsepower out of this engine the tuner had to add a few more modifications besides the ECU upgrade. They have employed uprated turbochargers, a larger intercooler, and a custom sports exhaust system. The net result of all these changes is a maximum output of 700 PS and 750 Nm of torque.

Performance-wise, the car can no sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 349 km/h, pretty much the same figures as the Lamborghini Aventador.

As part of the upgrade package for Posaidon Mercedes AMG GT the engine’s start/stop system is deactivated and a radar speed trap warning system is installed. The cool thing is that the radar system is integrated into the car’s Comand Online-Navigation system.
