Beetle is a hard car to visually modify because it boasts a modern interpretation of an iconic design, and it is always perilous to mess with those things. But in the case of KBR Motorsport VW Beetle changes have been fairly successful, probably because they left the body intact and only altered things like the ride height.
Nicknamed “El Vocho,” KBR Motorsport VW Beetle is equipped with a number of aftermarket goodies that give the ol’ Herbie a naughty new look. The most prominent feature of this car is the extreme lowering which is the result of employing an air suspension system with H&R components.
The substantial fenders of the Beetle are filled up here with a set of extravagant 9,5×20 inch Oxigin 14 Oxrock wheels in black, shod with Hankook Ventus S1 Evo tires in size 235/30R20. These rims accommodate two-piece, grooved carbon steel brake discs with lightweight floating hub and red-painted four-piston calipers.
The 265-horsepower KBR Motorsport VW Beetle also benefits from Recaro Sportster CS sport seats with their backs finished in body color, and a kicking – literally – sound system with two Ground Zero amplifiers (1 x GZHA 4200XII, 1 x GZHA 2400XII), a digital sound processor with eight channels (GZCS 6-8DSP), Ground Zero subwoofer (GZPW 10SPL) and a Pioneer head unit integrated in the dashboard. This systems needs three dedicated lithium-ion batteries to operate!
