In one of their latest projects the chip tuning experts at Mcchip-DKR have upgraded the power output of a 2016 Audi R8 V10. Once again, these guys have achieved mind-blowing result through the use of nothing more than a few lines of code.
The 2016 Audi R8 V10 arrived at Mcchip’s workshop in standard configuration, packing a very healthy 540 horsepower and the same amount in torque power. Now, that’s a good amount of power by any standards, especially as the new R8 is lighter, stiffer and more focused than the previous generation. But more is always better, particularly when gaining more power is as easy as uploading a software onto the car.
That is basically what they do at DKR, but the software they upload is so sophisticated, it boosts the power output of the V10 engine to 633 horsepower and 582 Nm of torque. Some say chip tuning is not worth the money since the gain is small. Well, that is certainly not the case with Mcchip’s way of chip tuning. That is very nearly a 100 horsepower more than the standard. What’s more, they offer a similar package for the more powerful Audi R8 V10 Plus.
