KIA SUV Concept Teaser 600x329 at KIA SUV Concept Teased for Detroit Debut

Kia Motors has released a computer rendering of a brand-new concept they will unveil at the 2016 Detroit Motor Show (NAIAS). This Kia SUV Concept appears to be a reboot of the discontinued Mohave, at least size-wise.

Kia already has a lineup of utility vehicles and New Kias for Sale including a crossover and a mid-size SUV. And they both recently got a fresh new version which means they are going to stay in the market for a few more years. That leads us to believe the new KIA SUV Concept is an effort to fill the gap left at the top of the spectrum when they dropped the Mohave full-size SUV due to poor sales.

This time around, Kia has learned its lesson and has designed their large SUV so it would appeal to a wider range of customers. If you are detecting some Volvo XC90 in there, that is probably not incidental. They have looked at the best of the best in the market and then imitated it. Kia says the concept shows the direction their design language is headed and showcases advanced technologies including “state-of-the-art health-and-wellness technology.”
