Following the successful debut of the Model 3, Tesla went ahead and revealed a new, facelift version of the Model S featuring the same design cues. Although a lot of you may judge the new look of Tesla Model S Facelift terrible and awful, it probably made a lot of sense to the company’s brass.
Tesla is evidently after a distinctive corporate look, now that they have more than one production model, and as we know from other manufacturers this unified look across the range presents a number of challenges, mainly in the beauty department. So when they Musk’s army witnessed the positive reaction of the public to Model X and Model 3’s snub-nose design, they went ahead and applied the same principles to Tesla Model S Facelift.
Fortunately, the new front fascia with the narrow grille is the most drastic change and the rest of Tesla Model S Facelift remains pretty much as it was before. With the new model the focus has been on improving the car’s options and features. Now you can specify your Model S with stuff like Nappa leather and Alcantara, heated/ventilated seats, LED ambient lighting, and…
The new Model S will be available, when it launches in a few months with four powertrain options. The base model is the 70 which has the equivalent of 315 hp (380 hp in D version) and a range of 240 miles. Then there’s the 90D with 415 hp and a range of 294 miles, followed by P90D which has a full 460 hp in normal and 530 hp in Ludicrous mode.
