Okay, this is just ridiculous. We can’t really think of a situation where a 500 horsepower hatchback would make sense, other than probably a tuning show where the horsepower war is kind of like a d*ck measuring contest for the tuners. So yes, this Posaidon Mercedes A45 AMG is rather pointless. But as pointless things go it’s a good one.
What is particularly interesting about Posaidon Mercedes A45 AMG is that it builds on something that is pretty controversial to begin with. The A45 AMG was scoff at by many when it was launched for being too expensive and having too much power for a car of this size (360 hp). Then a trend appeared to see who can dial that output up to preposterous levels and man tuners, Posaidon included, came up with various power kits packing an insane number of horses.
Now the game seems to be over as the aforementioned tuner releases their latest take on the A45 with an unbelievable 500 horsepower and 555 Nm of torque (electronically limited). With this kind of oomph, which is the result of employing new turbocharger, air intake system, software, steel exhaust with downpipes and various other changes, Posaidon Mercedes A45 AMG can now record a 0 to 100 km/h time of 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 315 km/h.
