We have been chronicling the development of Hamann BMW M2 upgrade kit since the day it was announced. Now it hits the Auto Zurich motor show boasting not just a body kit, not just more power, but also a set of blue wheels that kind of makes it hard to take this car seriously.

But serious Hamann BMW M2 certainly, if just for the power upgrade the tuner has given it. While the standard M2 has to make to with 370 horsepower and 465 Nm of torque, the Hamann version, thanks to an additional control unit fitted to its straight-six turbo engine to optimize the ignition map, packs a much more exciting 420 horsepower with 530 Nm of torque which results in a 0-100 km/h sprint time of 4.2 seconds.

But most people are going to want the Hamann BMW M2 for the styling kit it features. The package includes a pretty sizable front spoiler, pair of side skirts with extra wingtips in front of the rear wheel arches, rear diffuser and a boot lid wing, plus optional stainless-steel sports exhaust system with four tailpipes which can be had in carbon, silver or black anodized. As always, Hamann offers a wide range of wheels with excellent designs. You just need to make sure you get those rims in the proper color. Also, steer clear of the stripe and graphics package on this show car.
