Audi unveiled at the Paris Motor Show a new version of the 2015 TT, in concept form of course, called TT Sportback. As you can guess from that name, this concept is a four-door coupe version of the TT and it is made to gauge the public’s interest in such a model.
Audi TT Sportback is the third concept variant of the new generation TT after the Allroad and the Offroad. To look at, the Sportback is fairly similar to the coupe version and even has an identical sloping roof. But it comes with two extra doors and two full size seats.
Of course, being a concept, Audi TT Sportback features slightly cartoonish flared wheel arches and a fancy grille. Otherwise, it looks virtually production-ready. In fact, the word on the streets of Paris is that it previews a production liftback version of the sports car.
The concept car is based on the same MQB platform as the existing models and boasts a production 2.0 liter turbocharged four-banger as well. That engine is heavily tuned for use in the Audi TT Sportback and makes 400 horsepower which gives the car a 0 to 100 km/h sprint time of under 4 seconds.
