This new Piecha Design kit for Mercedes SL R230 makes us sad that such a good-looking car will soon go out of production.

The body kit is very well designed and suits the car perfectly. It manages to be elegant and sporty without trying too hard.

The ingredients of the kit include LED lights, three-part front spoiler for standard non-AMG bumpers, rear spoiler lip and four new tailpipes connected to the stainless steel PIECHA Quadro sports exhaust system. They provide a throatier engine noise even on partial throttle.

You also get the magnificent PIECHA MP1 monoblock rims, available at 9.5×20 with 255/30 R20 for the front, and at a gigantic 11×20 with 305/25 R20 for the rear. These polished titanium silky-gloss look superb on the SL, especially with the Piecha-lowering module which drops the car by 30mm on both axles.

The tuner has also hacked the roof, so you can now open and close it up to 60 km/h.

This is one of the best looking R230 SLs we’ve ever seen. Hope the new generation, to be launched din 2013, be just as good and Piecha come up with a similar package for it.
