The hybrid version of the new Lexus IS will make its European debut at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, where it will be on display next to the LF-LC concept that this time shows up in Opal Blue. That is not a good plan for the IS.

You see, the LF-LC is an extremely pretty car, but the IS isn’t. The LC is going to make the IS 300h look like a minger, what with that unusually large grille, weird headlights, and ungainly rear-end design. If it’s any consolation to Lexus, the hybrid look a tiny bit less hideous compared to the F Sport version.

They shouldn’t be worried, though. The LF-LC will pick up the slack. This magnificent coupe will soon spawn a production model with the same sort of design. It’s funny how this spindle grille that works well on the LC, looks terrible on the IS.

Besides these two Lexus’s full range of F Sport full hybrid models, including the new IS 300h F Sport, will also be on show at Geneva.
