BMW’s ugly duck is under some serious makeover to gain a fresh image when it’ll come out in 2011. The car will be revised both visually and mechanically. Of course this picture is a test mule. BMW still keeps the rear wheel drive format, but might as well consider a FWD version in collaboration with MINI to keep the costs low, Car magazine reports. A full range of petrol and diesel 4 and 6 cylinder engines will be available, with power outputs from 130 up to 300hp. Also there is a new 1.3 liter turbocharged unit.
