KIA Magentis facelift

KIA Motors has given the Magentis model a proper facelift for the European market. The previous version was a miserable copy from the Nissan Altima of the time, a boring basic sedan which was primarily built for American market! But with the new one, considering the Europeans, KIA didn’t want to come up soft. So they redesigned almost every thing. It has a new front and rear end and a big chrome grille, but despite all the efforts, it still looks too ordinary, too basic.

The car really belongs to the economy class and proves it by featuring a range of very economical engines. There is  a  two-liter diesel with 150 hp (previously 140 hp) which averages 6.0 liters per 100 kilometers, which is pretty good. Also an updated version of this two-liter is available which develops 164hp and can do 0-100 in 9.9 seconds but is a bit heavier on fuel as it averages 7.4 liters per 100 K. You can also have it a 2.7 liter V6 engine with 193 hp. It comes with 6 auto or 5 manual gearbox.

the Magentis also features a new interior,  where you can find up to date instruments, like new six speaker audio system with USB port, that sort of thing! Then again, don’t expect too much because after all, this is a mid-range sedan which even will find Hyundai Sonata a serious competitor! The base model starts at 22,450 euros.
