The latest member of Audi’s RS family will be this little beast called the RS3. This car actually has the speed in its gens! It took it about a week from being just a rumor to be confirmed and scooped at the Ring. And now as you see in this illustration by Autocar, it’s almost ready. But wait, it won’t reach you until 2012!
The car uses the same engine as the newly launched Audi TT-RS, a five-cylinder turbocharged which develops 335 horsepower and is mated to a 7-speed DSG gearbox. That makes it a real performer which is bad news for the dominating name in this segment, the Ford Focus RS. It is also fitted with the latest evolution of Audi’s proven Quattro system so it handles properly as well.
Audi RS3 has bold specs, no doubt about it. But you have take into account that it won’t be cheap. It is literally a TT-RS underneath and that car costs around $70,000 which is quit a lot for a small coupe! The more affordable Focus or Golf GTI might not be as advanced as the Audi but they have the winning card in this matter. It makes more sense to consider the Audi as an opponent for the BMW 135 knowing that a new version of that is coming a well. Of course as mentioned the car will be launched at least a year after the introduction of new A3 in 2011, and we have to wait and see how’s the market condition then.

what happened Audi? the current mule looks sh*t and now Audi you don’t want the general public to call your hot hatch creation that now do you. What if your car designers wear 4 inch thick glasses would that make a difference, because what you see above is what we wanted and frankly speaking you go and create old pensioners car.
