Mercedes released the very first picture of the new Generation SLK R172, confirming its premiere at the next Geneva Motor Show. This picture is basically just a teaser, as it shows none of the looks, but it does show one important feature of it, which is the new panoramic glass roof, dubbed “Magic Sky Control”.

It is of course a 2000 Euro optional extra, but it has many advantages. Apart from being transparent and providing a cabin full of light, it also acts as a heat shield and filters harmful sun radiations like UV and Infrared.

As for the looks of the car, while we have to wait for the official pics to come, based on the spyshots that we’ve seen so far it seems to be inspired by the SLS Supercar, featuring all new headlights sleeker body lines. It is going to be far less girly than the previous models used to be!
