As you know the company that makes the superb Ariel Atom is now offering a 500-hp V8 version. But if that’s too much for you, and let’s be honest it is, but the standard 4-cylinder Civic engine with 300 hp is enough, then you should consider this one. It’s a tuned version of the Ariel Atom 3 by Wimmer RS.

What Wimmer does is actually quite simple. They implement an upgrade package on that engine and squeeze another 40 hp. That pacakage includes engine optimization software, compressor overhaul, fuel pump conversion and sport exhaust system together with Rennkat.

The result is 340 hp and 282 Nm of torque, and the result of that in a car that weighs just 469 kg is 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds and 0 to 200 km/h in just 7.1 seconds.

Mercifully they won’t add any luxury to the car and won’t separate you from the exposed mechanics so you still get that feeling that you’re a part of the machine when you drive it. And that’s what makes the Atom such a sensation.
