Charlotte Motor Speedway is now the proud owner of the world’s largest HDTV as they finish installing a 200 x 80 foot Panasonic screen.

This 165,000 pounds TV features 720P high-definition visuals illuminated by more than nine million light emitting diode, or LED, lamps. The coolest thing about is that giant remote control! You may also hook it up to game consoles and simulators by the looks of things.

This is very cool, but it begs the question, what’s the point of coming down to the track if you are going to watch the race on a TV anyway! No body will be looking at the cars on the track as this giant screen dominates everything and gives a better view to the spectators.

They started to make this thing back in September 2010. It will officially debut at the NASCAR All-Star Race on May 21.
