It’s been a while since we last heard of Geiger Cars, the German tuner who is obsessed with American cars. Turns out they are busy working on one of the latest offerings from Chrysler, the new Dodge Charger SRT8. For now Geiger can provide you with a set of new wheels, and new suspension components that lower the ride height, but soon there will also be a compressor kit available for the car.
That kit will add an extra 160 hp to the output of the Charger’s V8, which is already pretty potent at 469 hp and 630 Nm of torque. The SRT8 can go from 0 to 100 km/h in less than five seconds and reach a top speed of 280 km/h.
Seeing as American cars are not very good around corners the first thing Geiger advises you to put on the Charger is a set of professional springs and dampers which not only lower the car, making it look cool, also enhance handling. Other contributing factor is the new wheels. These 22-inch matt black wheels too enhance the dynamics, while improving the car’s visual appeal.
These upgrades are necessary for the SRT8, even though a bit pricey. The suspension will set you back 2,000 Euro and the wheels and tires 5,900 Euro.
