Autocar Drives Ford Fiesta WRC on Public Roads

Ford Fiesta WRC Review at Autocar Drives Ford Fiesta WRC on Public Roads

Yep, that’s a full-on World Rally Championship Ford Fiesta parked next to an old man’s Honda Civic! Autocar’s Vicky Parrot decided to find out what it’s like driving a rally car on public road. In a nutshell, it’s pretty bonkers and challenging. But it’s also quite exciting. The noise and fury of that fiery 1.6 turbo engine is certainly a unique experience, but if you use this car to go the shops everyday, you’ll end up deaf, blind and crippled.

There are of course some other drawbacks with this car. The boot for example is full of roll bars and there’s no room for your groceries. And you can’t take the kids to school in it, as there’s only one seat for a navigator. Racing harness is also a bugger to put on.

The biggest problem with this car, however, is the price. It costs £400,000!
