In this episode of Epic Drive Motor Trend’s Angus MacKenzie goes to Italy with a Mercedes SLS Roadster to live the Mille Miglia dream all by himself. He follows the route of the original 1000-mile race across the country’s most beautiful scenic roads and historic cities, and as cherry for the top of his cake, he gets Sir Stirling Moss to drive him across the Raticosa Pass. Drives just doesn’t get much more epic than this!

Sir Stirling Moss is a magnificent man. He won the 1955 Mille Miglia in the iconic Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR with one of the greatest racing performances of all time. You would forgive Angus for putting so many cameras around him, because it’s the chance of a lifetime being driven around by a legend and he didn’t want to miss any part of it.
